Furnishing Quality Questionnaire

Though it may not always be the case with all products, when it comes to furniture, you get what you pay for. There is also no comparison to how quality furniture looks and feels.

A lot of the furniture sold on the retail market is cheaply made and you are lucky if you get a few  years out of these pieces without breakdown or damage occurring.  Our firm is a member of the Sustainable Furnishings Council and, therefore, our goal is to prevent as many home goods from going into landfills as possible.  We don’t sell value-quality products for this reason.

Our firm sells good, better, and best quality furnishings.  We don’t sell any entry level pieces but we do have a wide range of price points available to our clients. Our good quality is not lifetime furniture but may be all that is needed to hold up in a guest room that is not often used.

A brief explanation of how products are classified into good, better, and best are included in this specification process.  If considering good quality at all for your project, we recommend only for low traffic or low use areas.

As you go through this questionnaire, please indicate the level of over-all furniture quality you would like in each area of your home. You may feel more comfortable to spend more in certain areas and products that have higher traffic.

We find that some of our clients have a preference to spend more on certain items than others, or they like certain materials better than others.  This questionnaire is a helpful guide to help our firm start the budget building process.

Keep in mind that when it comes to high end goods, the price points may be higher for made to specification, hand made products out of exotic materials or fabrics.  The ranges we have indicated are considered an average range for that category.  If you want something special hand made for certain areas, these will need to be quoted per item.
