Inspired by Austin: ACL Music Festival

We all know that Austin is the live music capital of the world, and no other time of year shows it off more than during the ACL Music Festival. As of writing this, we are about to head into weekend two and everything seems to be thrumming. We love this city!

The bedding in this design is from a company called Bandhini, and I love them because I am a texture and detail freak. These amazing pieces are all about the details with embellishments such as metal, rope, shell and decorative tapes. Also, what could feel more Rock n Roll than a metal wrapped bed? This bed works well with the bedding pieces and could be dressed up or down to complement an edgy or glamorous design.

I love to read and typically try to incorporate a chair and side table in any bedroom that allows. The chaise lounge and drink table in this design allow for comfortable reading prior to turning in for the night. I also strive to include five to seven light sources in all of my spaces, and as an added bonus the linear styling of the end table lamp flow well with the lines of the bed.

Then there are those times you just throw something into a design for no other reason than it just feels right. This mirror is one of those times. I mean, c’mon, look at how cool it is! It definitely has an edgy feel to it and works well with our established color scheme as well as all the linear elements throughout the space.
